Grand Ole Opry Show 05:00 PM $47.00 per person See the show that made country music famous and is also the worlds longest running live radio program. The show features the new stars, superstars, and legends of country music in each performance. In 1932 AM radio superstation WSM 650, made the program a Saturday night musical tradition in nearly 30 states, and in 1939, it debuted nationally on NBC Radio. The show has been broadcast live on WSM ever since. From 1943-1974 the show performed at the Ryman Auditorium, and still does so during the winter months. Opening night of the new Grand Ole Opry facility in 1974 featured then president Richard Nixon speaking and performing. |
