Dear Friends of the Adams Class Naval Ship Museum,
Half way there! The Jacksonville Historic Naval Ship Association (JHNSA)’s effort to fund a small staff and administrative needs for the quiet phase of the Capital Campaign to return the Navy’s first keel-up built guided missile destroyer to it’s former homeport is half way home! If we reach this $200,000 goal, a local business leader and downtown advocate has pledged to donate .50 cents for every dollar we raise up to $100,000.
Please show your continued support to fund the Seed Money quest of our Capital Campaign to “Bring Home the USS Adams.” Your financial gift from your company, personal funds or Trust will help our effort to return the USS Adams to Jacksonville, Florida. We have 27 days to complete our seed money campaign goal - raising $ 97,000. We must have the money in hand by 1 June to collect our very generous pledge of $100,000.
The Jacksonville Historic Naval Ship Association, Inc. is a 501 © (3), ID 06-1834542 Non Profit Organization. See

The ship has been visited and inspected many times by our own experts as has been done by the Navy and the ship is deemed seaworthy to be towed from Philadelphia to a Jacksonville area shipyard. The seed money raised today will be the foundation that will allow us to move smoothly into the Quiet Phase of the Capital Campaign to restore the ship, build the mooring system and make the Jacksonville Historic Naval War Ship Museum a reality
All the best,
John E. O’Neil, Jr.
Executive Director, Captain USN (Ret.)
